you bite my lip as you kiss me, and blood fills my mouth. it stings with the bitterness of past arguments, thrown insults, and our unforgiving chaos. i wait for my head to stop spinning before i wrap my hand around your neck and squeeze tight. there is no sweetness to be found here. only a requiem for a love that merely existed in our heads.
